  • Advice Needed For Transplanting An Alocasia Plant

Posted by Ahren on Monday, November 26, 2007 8:26 pm AST

I was given a one leaf Alocasia plant (I believe it is also called an elephant ear plant,) two and a half years ago and it has outgrown it's pot. I am not really into house plants, and have basically done nothing but water it a couple of times a week. It really needs a larger home, but I don't want to damage or kill it out of ignorance. What is the best way to transplant this? Any suggesttions or help I can get would be greatly appreciated!!!

Just get a bigger pot and some potting soil. Gentle take the plant out of the smaller pot and put in the larger pot fill around it with soil and then water it. I'm into houseplants so if u live in chtown i'll take it if u want to get rid of it.
