I recently bough some asiatic lilies from Kents. They are beginning to sprout. Since I live in newfoundland, I won't be able to put them in the garden for about 2 months. Any suggestions as to what I should do? For instance, if I put them into containers, should I keep them in the cool and in poor light?

You should probably put them in containers in damp, not wet growing medium. Put them in a low-light, cool place. If you put them in a place that has no light, you might kill off the new shoot and have a problem growing them this season. Once they are ready to grow, they are ready to grow! (if they have just 'barely' started growing, you might be able to stall them by putting them in a cool, dark place, like your refridgerator, but you want to make sure you don't kill the new shoot. I'd put them in a container regardless...) Good luck!

What I would do is, place them in a container and place them in bright light. (Thats what the green houses do)The worst thing that would happen is that they would bloom earlier that they are suppose to, as long as you don't disturb the roots when you put them outside. They will not bloom if you do.
