Just about any kind of flowers, your feild tile pipes should be around 18 to 24 inches deep so as long as your plants do not have a deep root system you should be ok

we have a septic too with a large weeping/tile field. i've been looking at ripping out the grass since it grows just way too quickly and we can't drive the tractor over the bed so have lots to cut with a hand mower. we have lots of bulbs in over the bed now and they're doing great-they don't have deep root systems. trees, shrubs, anything with tap roots are definitely out...they'll search out the source of the "good water" and grow in mats in the tiles/pipes. i would stick to annuals if you can (we've had problems with perennials like butterfly bushes too growing deep enough to invade the tiles), or grass if you don't mind cutting it.
