I live in Salta, Argentina. I have planted several tomato plants in contains on the back porch. They have been grow fine. They are between 6 to 8 inches high. This week several of them are rotting at the stem right above the soil level. I can't figure out what the problem maybe. I have pile the soil up higher around the stem.

too much water try taking the plants that have rotted and putting them in water. They will likely root. You can then replant them
