Posted by kristal on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 1:13 PM ASTi was wondering if i can plant grapes in my greenhouse. It is just a cold one..only heated by the sun. I read that some of the varieties need full sun... thanks

Posted by Brian T on Sunday, March 8, 2009 8:08 PM ADTYou may have problems with grapes. If you are in a cold area the heat of day cold of night in the winter will probably kill the vines. My greenhouse goes from +25C to -25C most days now (Zone 3 in central Alberta). Grapes need bees to fertilize to get a crop and bugs is one thing you do not want in your greenhouse. Better to stick to annual type of plants until you provide winter heat.
