I have started several seeds indoors. I have the proper lighting for them, but they seem to be extremely tall and skinny. There are still a few weeks before the last frost so I can't plant them outdoors yet. How can I fatten up the seedlings before transplanting?

Your seedlings are probably stretching because, even though you have the proper lighting, the plants should very close to the light. The plants should be 3-4 inches away from the light source for proper growth.

If they are flowers, pinch them back to about three sets of leaves.

I am ready to repot my seedlings and am wondering what soil is best now. I was using a soiless mixture to start them.

After using a seedling mix to start. I move them onto regular potting soil, but I know plenty of people that keep using the soiless mix. I just find that I have to water less with potting soil and I start a tonnes of plant so the less watering the better for me.
