Gardeners’ Forum: “Scared of my Wisteria”

Posted by Melissa on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 9:21 AM ADTI am in Zone 5b-6 and have planted a Wisteria that isclimbing up a post on my veranda. It is about 3 or maybe 4 years old and has reached the roof. I read about some gardeners in warmer zones who cautiion about the aggressiveness of this vine and I wonder if I should rip it out. Anyone in zone 5 out there with an established Wisteria? Is it hard to manage?
