My wife and I want to plant a climbing rose, but want one that blooms like a long stem rose (without the long stem, just the flower) does anyone know of such a thing. I'm thinking it'll probably be a hybred, but am unsure.

You don't give your zone or colour wanted but I'm 5a. I find that Iceberg is reasonably trouble free and a white hybrid type flower. I also like Blossom Time, it is a flatter flower, lots of petals and a nice pink. Orange velvet has not thrived well in my garden but it is a lovely flower and it is zone 4 so it could be my soil or something and may do well for you, worth a try.

I live in zone 4 and have a climbing rose bush that has many beautiful blooms on the bottom of the plant and no buds or blooms on the top. Any suggestions appreciated. I also have 2 rose bushes that I am not sure how to care for. I have heard that there is a special requirement for cutting the blooms, is this true?
