    I was wondering if it is too late to transplant a peony. I live in zone 5b and we usually have heavy snowfall that starts around the middle of December. It is fairly mild now, but we have had some frost.

      Hi, The time to transplant peonies is definately in the fall. NOw that it's december it may be too late but October to mid November is usually ok. www.peonies.org is a great resource with all sorts of information.

      My neighbor is moving in summer and wants me to have her peonies that havebeen there for many (15 yrs)can that be done successfully without hurting the plants at their age?
