Posted by Shannon on Monday, May 17, 2010 8:42 PM ADTIs it possible for tulips to change colour? I have MANY red tulips showing up in my garden and I have never planted anything red. All of the tulips came in clearly marked bags (not open bin containers). This isn't the first time this has happened to me. A few years ago I planted a bunch of gladiolus that were supposed to be a deep bluish purple and they came up a horrible salmon colour. Any insights into how or why this could happen and what can be done to prevent this? I'm really not a fan of red tulips!
