I have a morning glory (started from seed) that is just starting to bloom. One bloom has blossomed so far and only lasted a few hours before it curled up and dropped off the vine. Do the blooms only last a few hours before they fade away? Thanks

Morning glory flowers just open in the morning and usually close before noon.

I recently saw a movie and the main character named her child Glory because of the morning glory flower. She said that the flower will survive in any place, soil etc. and no matter what happens it always opens in the morning. Is that true?
