Posted by Marlo on Friday, November 9, 2001 8:18 AM ASTAccording to the book I have, the hawthorn is prone to fungous leaf spot. The leaves get covered with reddish-brown spots which turn yellow, then fall off. Then there's a lace bug which can turn the leaves yellow. It doesn't say anything about the fruit, though, so I don't know if either of these is your problem. (Both problems require spraying to get rid of them.) If I find out more, I'll let you know.
