Posted by Gail Arsenault on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 1:10 PM ADTI live in the Fredericton area and had my first garden here last year. I hardened my tomato seedlings off by placing them out onto my deck in the middle of May and kept them covered at first from overexposure to sunlight and added protection at night for frost. I left them exposed to the sun for longer periods of time until they were out all day and I could place them into the garden. I haven't tried using those water sleeves - I am planning to add a cold frame to my garden in the next couple of weeks and am going to "test" it with a couple of tomato plants. I hope you have success with yours.
