Gardeners’ Forum: “Starting up the greenhouse”
Back to Gardeners’ ForumStarting up the greenhouse
Posted by Mavis Powell on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 5:42 PM ASTWe have bought a small greenhouse and plan to start seeds and bulbs in it. We plan to use fibre pots. When is the best time to plant the seeds. At what temperature should we keep the greenhouse, we have bought a radiator/heater especially for it. Also we store the begonias with great success over the winter, when should they be planted to start their growth in the greenhouse. We will then transplant to garden containers.

The seed packages ususally tell you how many weeks from your last frost date, but some things I will start a little earlier for a bigger plant. Now that March is upon us, you can start your begonias now.
