Before planting, soak the rhizomes in tepid water for 24 hours. Plant immediately after soaking, 3-4 inches apart and 2-3 inches deep. If you cannot tell top from bottom plant the tubers on their sides. Best grown in full sun. In part shade, anemones naturalize less readily, flower later and have smaller blooms. Plant 5cm deep and 3-5cm apart. Divide mature clumps of Anemone blanda as soon as the leaves have died back.
