Byzantinus (F)
Hardy Gladiolus
These dainty gladioli commence flowering in late May or early June and last for a long period, often throwing up secondary spikes. Enchanting plants providing both colour and form to an early Summer border.
They should be planted in late autumn, 4-6" deep, 4-6" apart, in full to part sun, in well drained, good garden soil and protect from severe frosts. A high-potassium liquid fertilizer may be applied when spikes reach about 8".
