Hardy to Zone 8 with protection
Start the bulbs in pots indoors. Crowd them in the pot (12 per 6" pot) with the tips just protruding. Feed the bulbs with a 5-10-5 fertilizer when shoots appear and then throughout the summer. Plants may be moved to the garden after all danger of frost has passed or continue to grow in containers. Before fall frost, bring the pots indoors, let the bulbs dry out and store in the pots throughout winter or dig up bulbs and store.
