Give fritillaries a site in full sun or light shade with moist, well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. Keep in mind that these bulbs are fragile and should not be allowed to dry out before planting. Fritillaries should be planted deep, at least 4 times the height of the bulb. This will also discourage offsets.
