Prairie Mallow or Checker Mallow
Plant so that crowns are 1” below surface, in deep, fertile loamy soil in full sun to light shade, in groups of 5 – 7 or more, spacing 12” – 18” apart. Stake taller varieties. To encourage second flush of bloom, cut back after flowers fade. Blooms all summer. Height 24” – 48”. Zones 5 – 9. .
