Easily grown in average, medium-wet, well-drained soils in full sun, spaced 12”-15” apart. Wet soil in winter is the main cause of death for this plant. Appreciates a winter mulch. Deadhead individual spent flowers and remove spent flowering stems to encourage additional bloom. Long summer blooming period. Good in border fronts or cottage gardens. Best in small groupings. 18” high and wide. Hardy to zones 5-9.
