General Description:

Erect, bushy, densely white felted perennial succulent with thick, oblong, entire grey leaves, often finely margined with reddish brown spots. Native to Madagascar.

Cultivation:

Grow in a soil based potting mix with the addition of grit or large grained sand. Place in bright, filtered light. Water moderately during the growing season. Apply a balanced fertilizer once per month for 3-4 months during the growing season.

Propagation:

Sow seeds at 21ºC in early spring. Remove offsets and plantlets from leaves or inflorescence and transplant in mid spring or early summer. Root stem cuttings in spring or summer.

Pests & Disease:

Mealy bugs, aphids, powdery mildew, leaf spot, crown and root rot, bacterial soft rot, faciation, and various viruses may be a problem.
