Iresine herbstii
Grow in shade to partial sun. Cascading habit. Use ‘Purple Lady’ Iresine as a dramatic foliage plant in containers and window boxes, or as a tender ground cover in annual beds. Iresine can take more sun in very humid areas like the Maritimes. Grow in well-drained, soilless medium. Allow soil to dry out between waterings. Feed regularly with an all-purpose fertilizer. Pinching is not required. Grows 6-8 inches high and can spread up to about 4 feet.
