Eryngium planum
Perennial - Zones 5-9.
Start seed 14-16 weeks before planting out to ensure blooming first year. Cover seed lightly with vermiculite, sand or other substrate, as light is necessary for good germination. Keep soil slightly moist but not wet. Germinates in 14-20 days. Does well in well-drained, rather poor soil. Prefers full sun. Zones 5-9
