Plant in early spring as soon as the ground can be worked. Sow seed 1 inch deep and space or thin to 1-2 inches apart. Prefers rich, well-drained soil, full sun and plenty of moisture. Harvest when seed is hard and stalks should need very little additional drying. A day or two in a dark, dry area should be enough. May be harvested when younger, but will need additional drying time.
