Blooms from mid summer to frost. Space 1.2-1.5 meters (4-5 feet apart) in full sun. Grows 1.8-2.4 meters (6-8 feet) tall. Good flower production will continue if spent blooms are removed. May be cut back close to the ground in fall or early spring. Blooms on new growth. Un-pruned plants will bloom earlier in the summer than pruned plants. Pruned plants will stay shorter and bushier than un-pruned plants. Moist, fertile limed soil, will produce the largest flower panicles. Enjoys lime applications.
