Hibiscus syriacus
Hardy in zones 5-9
Prefers moist and a good soil that is not too dry, or too wet. Plant in a full sun and mulch for the first few years until well established. Will tolerate some shade. Water every few days when first planted to help it set roots. Bloom time is mid-summer to frost. Prune each spring to help maintain its form. Grows 7-10’ tall and 5-8’ wide.
