Papaver orientale. A semi-dwarf mixture of red, scarlet, orange, salmon, mauve, rose, pink and white blooms with black centers. 3-4” flowers are held on strong 24” tall stems which withstand strong winds. Since poppies do not like their roots disturbed direct seeding is best, if starting inside they must be kept in the dark to germinate, start in peat pots and be carful when transplanting. Great for borders, rock gardens or for cutting. Can be direct seeded in spring or mid-fall. Look for both annual and perennial poppies to brighten up your garden all season long. An excellent addition when included in a wildflower meadow to attract beneficials such as bees and butterflies. Approx. 10 pellets/pkg.
