Haskap (Honeyberry)
Also called Honeyberries. Bred in Saskatchewan and much hardier than highbush blueberries. Its sweet flavour compares to a cross between blueberries and raspberries. Ripens early, in mid-June, and perfect for fresh eating or any recipe where blueberries are used. Requires a male pollinator - one male will pollinate up to five females. Will begin bearing fruit in 2-3 years. We ship 2 year old plants in 4" pots.
Birds also love the fruit, so Black Netting is recommended.
