If you’re an ambitious gardener who needs plenty of greenhouse space at an affordable price, this Grow House is for you. The Grow House Greenhouse has many features found in commercial greenhouses: Classic “gothic arch” shape means unmatched structural strength. The Grow House kit includes PVC ribs; glazing, hardware and pre-cut lumber for 4 bottom vents (windows), 1 top vent, and door, owner's manual and complete lumber list (when we assembled our 12' x 12' test model we incurred approximately $100.00 in additional lumber costs). It goes together using two people on a weekend – some basic carpentry skills required.
Additional Info: The greenhouse does not come with anchors, but we recommend that you purchase 10 pieces of 3' long rebar (from any lumber yard) which you then pound through holes in the 2 x 4 base. This procedure more than adequately anchors the greenhouse to the ground, assuming that you are not locating the greenhouse on a rocky terrain. The plastic holds up well to winds and small branches. It is also recommended to use Scare-eye Balloons to keep birds from perching on the plastic.
