If you've tried starting seed under standard fluorescent lights, you may be surprised at how much better they grow in a SunLite Garden. Not only are the lights much brighter than regular fluorescent tubes, they also easily adjust up and down so you can keep the lights at just the right height above the plants.

As an added bonus, you don't have to hide your home made fixutres and hanging devices away from view in the basement - with these very attractive Light Gardens you can put it where you can enjoy your plants and brighten your living area with full spectrum light. SunLite Gardens are ideal for starting all types of seeds and provide optimum conditions for flowering houseplants like orchids, African Violets and hibiscus.

We've added major improvements across the board with our 2012 lineup of light gardens: new lightweight fixtures, T-5 Full Spectrum energy efficient bulbs with improved ballasts, watertight trays and smooth rolling casters. Choose the size that suits your gardening needs and take advantage of our generous no interst payment plan. Plus, we've been able to lower our shipping rates for your benefit too!

2-Tier Light Garden

While yes, one can purchase fixtures on their own and eventually create some sort of light garden contraption in their basement, our light gardens are of a much higher quality due to the fact that every component is specifically designed and manufactured as one complete unit. Over the years we have had outstanding success with these products and our many customers across North America have really enjoyed the durability, effectiveness and appearance of these gardens. Designed to take up the least possible amount of room, the custom frame design is made of high grade aluminum and each component is powder coated to ensure years of scratch free attractive functionality. The fixtures are also a customized unit in that they have been engineered to work in harmony with our energy saving T5 Full spectrum light bulb technology. All T5 bulbs (even if they are full spectrum) are not created equally. The key to delivering full and effective light to young plants and bulbs lies in the internal temperature and intensity of the bulbs. In combination with custom and patented reflectors, these light gardens are unequaled when it comes to the low energy costs and the high output yield that they produce. The trays that accompany each of our light gardens are constructed from a very heavy duty recycled plastic compound and are molded and designed to our own specifications so as to maximize the area for holding plants as well as having the strength to hold even the heaviest of potted plants. From the high quality casters to the simplicity of assembly, every aspect of our special light gardens in unequaled in the marketplace. While yes, there may be cheaper alternatives in the marketplace, I think that you will in fact find them competitively priced while at the same time unmatched by any competitor for quality.

2-Tier Light Garden

I really can't see how 2- fluorescent light fixtures ($40 x 2 = $80) , A metal shelving unit ($40 at best), 2- Full spectrum light bulbs ($30) wire and a power bar ($20) can cost so much?!! I would be uneasy paying $200 for his set up, let alone $500.....Is the other $300 for the chain that makes the lights adjustable??

Charlie ( yes I can afford it.... )
