Thriving in hot sunny locations even under drought conditions, coneflower is in its glory from mid summer till frost. Large daisy-like blooms with spiny cone shaped centers. Excellent in borders or for cuttings and a favourite of butterflies. Prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Blooms the first year. Start seed indoors 8-10 weeks before planting out.
