Bat Flower
This unusual species is native to the humid regions of Southeast Asia. In the jungles its 12 inch diameter, bat-shaped blooms are pollinated by exotic jungle creatures as they brush past the two foot long 'whiskers'. Grow these flowers in well-draining pots inundated with water throughout the growing season. In shady, humid growing situations with plenty of water and liquid fertilizer, these plants can grow as tall as three feet. No. 1 size roots.
