Hostas
Hostas are a plant collector's dream come true! Each cultivar is unique with patterns and markings that make them wonderful to study in the garden. Avoid overwatering young hostas while they are establishing root systems. Clip away flower stalks once they are finished blooming.
An assortment of hostas grouped under trees or rambling through shrubbery borders is one of the most refreshing sights in the garden. These spreading clumps of handsome foliage form the backbone of many shady gardens. The tube-shaped flowers appear in summer on slender stalks which rise above the foliage, at different times depending on the variety. Hostas are easy to grow and long lived, thriving in moisture-retentive, humusy soil in dappled sun or full shade. We ship hefty 1-2 eye roots.
