Thailand Giant Elephant Ear
Colocasia gigantea
The really big one! Upward facing leaves on outward stretching stems are a beautiful shade of green and can be enormous. Tropical Elephant Ears enjoy heat and humidity and lots and lots of water. In fact, they can be grown successfully in ponds. Given ample heat and moisture, you will be astounded at the size they can reach, each individual leaf is something to behold! Can be grown in large containers or plant them directly in the garden where ample water can be supplied. We ship 3" plugs. Hardy in zones 9-11; elsewhere dig and store for winter.
