Weather in early spring and late fall is always unpredictable; clear and warm one day, wet and cold the next, biting winds the day after! A cold frame protects plants with a warm, stable microclimate, adding weeks to the growing season. You can start enjoying salad greens, herbs and vegetables earlier in the spring and continue harvesting them later into the fall.
The 3' x 6' Cold Frame is lean-to-style, with one long side meant to face the sun. It's the most economical way to start seedlings, harden off transplants or grow spring greens. It is sized to fit any of our 3' x 6' Grow Beds. The frame tucks inside the walls of the bed and anchors to the soil with stakes. Very sturdy, made with powder coated steel for years of outside use. The fitted covers are reinforced polyethylene that hold up to wind and weather and diffuse sunlight for nice, even light coverage. Features zippered closures and roll up vents for warm days. 25" in height.
