Weather in early spring and late fall is always unpredictable; clear and warm one day, wet and cold the next, biting winds the day after! A cold frame protects plants with a warm, stable microclimate, adding weeks to the growing season. You can start enjoying salad greens, herbs and vegetables earlier in the spring and continue harvesting them later into the fall.
Our new Ultimate Cold Frame is taller, with a roof design that gives plants more headroom, so it's better for protecting fullgrown plants right through the fall. It is much wider than the standard 3' x 6' model, with zippered openings on both sides to make easy access. Very sturdy, made with powder coated steel for years of outside use. The fitted covers are reinforced polyethylene that hold up to wind and weather and diffuse sunlight for nice, even light coverage. Features zippered closures and roll up vents for warm days. Unit measures 71" L x 57" W x 36" H.
