Extend your growing season!

Agribon floating row covers are the ideal solution for holding in warmth and moisture for faster germination, earlier harvests, higher yields and reduced frost damage. They let water, air and sun through and are lightweight, so support hoops are not necessary. They are also essential in preventing insects and other pests from damaging crops such as radishes, turnips, arugula, broccoli and cauliflower.
The lightweight Ag-19 provides up to 4°F frost protection for frost-sensitive perennials and vegetables and has an 85% light transmission. The medium weight Ag-30 provides up to 6°F frost protection and has a 70% light transmission.

Floating Row Covers

In Saskatoon, I use hoop-supported row covers in my hobby greenhouse. This way, I can plant a fall crop of cool-season veggies after the first frost and harvest them into mid-November. Two layers of light row cover can keep the plants as much as 10 degrees Celsius warmer than ambient.

Floating Row Covers

Floating row covers keep the birds out of my strawberries , keep the cucumber beetles and flea beetles off my young plants , protect my carrots from rust flies, and protect my late tomatoes etc from frost damage . They allow the light, air and water to pass through the film and if handled carefully will last many years. I like the AG-30 because they are wider and heavier duty , but the AG 19 is good too.
They are indespensible. I weight them down with trowelsful of earth or small bricks.
