Peanut & Suet Wreath Feeder

New

This 12" heavy duty, powder-coated wreath holds peanuts in the shell and provides hours of entertainment as you watch your fine feathered friends hang in every direction while they wrestle peanuts from inside the feeder. It's quite amusing to watch them break open the shells to receive their reward of two whole peanuts per pod. This feeder attracts Jays of all varieties and woodpeckers love the challenge and taste that peanuts provide. A year round conversation piece for your bird feeding area, our Wreath Peanut Feeder looks great during the Holiday season with an added ribbon bow (not included). A versatile design, this feeder can also be used to hold suet balls in the colder months. To get you started we've included - free of charge - a 500 gram package of Valencia (Canadian grown) peanuts in the shell. You'll be up and running as soon as your feeder arrives. Order item 85005 - Our 6 pack of regular suet balls, to fit this feeder.

Peanut & Suet Wreath Feeder

To keep squirrels from my bird feeders, I run clothes line from my deck to a tree. I have a long handle pole that I put a cup hook on and put carabiners on the bird feeder hangers as it's easier to hook them than just the hanger. Easy in and easy out and squirrel/bear/raccoon proof :-)

After seeing the peanut feeder in the catalogue, I decided it would be fun to try. I've given up using it as the birds are too smart... they empty it in as little as 15 minutes. I'm thinking that it might make a good suet feeder if I cut the fat up into chunks.

We sell suet balls (http://www.veseys.com/ca/en/store/tools/pollinators/suetballs) that fit perfectly in the peanut feeder.

Peanut & Suet Wreath Feeder

I have been buying peanuts for the birds and squirrels around my home for a number of years. I smiled when I saw this on your website and thought it could be interesting and it has been. I've laughed out loud more than once while watching a determined jay try to get a particular peanut released and wondered why they just don't go for one that is easier. Two good things..the peanuts don't disappear under snow and for some reason crows don't seem interested. Before I owned this, the crows would greedily gather peanuts (an average of 9 peanuts at once!!!) to the exclusion of the jays. Thank you for carrying this product. I am going to buy another for my daughter in England.
