This extremely accurate tool checks the soil to see if it has reached the correct temperature for seeds to germinate properly. Suitable for use in soil, compost, heated seed beds and for plant rearing. Insert the instrument to a minimum depth of 2-3" in the soil. Check the temperature recorded after 2 minutes and refer to the chart on the back of the package.
