Artichokes as an annual. A Mediterranean appetizer that is delicious in many dips and sauces or just simply eaten on their own dipped in melted butter. Artichokes are usually perennial plants that have to overwinter before they will flower, but Tavor has been bred to produce artichokes the first season and is early to mature. When started early indoors, they will produce 6-7 firm, tight buds. Artichokes are fun to grow and this variety has proved to be successful in cooler climates. Approximately 24 seeds/pkg.

- To grow artichokes as annuals it is very important that they are exposed to 10 days of cool 5-10°C but not freezing temperatures. This tricks the plant into thinking it has gone through a winter and initiates flower buds.
