  • chomped sunflower seedlings

Last & this year when I plant sunflower from seed they get all - without exception - chomped off & now I know it's not cutworms, because it's too systematic (even the ones started in big pots & put on the ground got chomped)& the leaves have disappeared & are not pulled underground. I now suspect either a bird, or a vole (field mouse). Any opinions?

I'm thinking rabbits - possible. I have to cover with chicken wire until things get a little bigger. Bunnies love the fresh new sprouts.
