Posted by shelley on Sunday, June 1, 2008 12:05 pm ADTWe have recently bought a home, in which the previous owners have planted "elephant ears". How do i get rid of them, we have tried cutting them, digging them up and even burning them, they just keep coming back!! Is there a secret to getting rid of them?

If the space they are in is not used you could place a weed barrier over the area for a least one year, Plants require sun to grow so it might kills however, I tried this with the Japenese knot weed and it did not work i'm still pulling sprouts of it out after 5 years. Good luck!!!.
