    The best source for general rose care is a book from Readers Digest. It is a hard covered book called Readers Digest Illustrated Guide to Gardening in Canada. Really helped me with my roses. You can get usually get it at a book store or direct from RD. Hope this helps. Steve in Ottawa.

      if the canes of the climbers have no red buds except down near the base do i prune at the bottom or wait and see if they will bloom on the canes
