Hi I am a first time gardener looking for advice. I have an area at the back of my property that is sheltered by trees . The area is boggy in the spring and dry in the summer. Are there any plants that I can grow from seed that will thrive in these conditions? I would prefer to direct seed. thanks!

I had a spot like that and this year I went out to the swamp and got some marsh marigolds. They only bloom in the spring but they make a striking spot.
