Posted by Guylaine Lefebvre on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 12:44 pm ADTGood day fellow gardeners! I need to know if I have to bring my cannas' tubers indoors this fall, like we do for dahlias or four o'clocks, or if I can get away with leaving them outside. I live in zone 5. Thanks! Guylaine

Posted by Jen on Monday, March 18, 2002 10:45 pm ASTHi! We moved in the winter a year ago, and had no idea what was left in the gardens from the summer viewing. We touched nothing and had beautiful giant cannas this past summer. A huge early snowfall protected insulated them. I hear that they are supposed to be pulled and stored though...we may have just been lucky. I mulched them heavily in the fall hoping not to have to pull them. I guess we'll see. Hope this helps a little!
