I grow all my seeds under grow lights. I am using a soiless mix and have used pots that have been srubbed in a solution of bleach and hot water. After a few days, there are always fruit flies around the light unit and also under the plastic dome over the seed. Why am I getting these flies and how do I get rid of them.

A neat way to get rid of fruit flies is to pour a glass of wine or champagne and cover it with a kleenex (held on by an elastic) and poke holes in the kleenex. The flies will fly into the glass and drown.
