For 2 Years now I have had problems with growing glads. The plants are extremly healthy and green until it's time to bloom, they start to bud and then the whole plants turns brown and the flowers all wizzle. Should they be watered more when they are in bloom? Is this a insect problem? They were planted in two different locations each year.

You may have Thrips in your glads . This is an insect that sucks the juice out of the plants . Soak your bulbs in a disenfection for 3 hours before planting , this will help control them. I grow about a 1000 glads each year. Good luck
