How do you stop squirrels from eating the sunflower heads? We planted some, which grew nice and high but we were not able to enjoy them for very long before the squirrels started to eat them.

You could try Veseys Scare Eye Balloons, they kept the birds away for me and they may scare away the squirrels for you.

Sunflower seeds are a treat for the squirrels, you must be planting the sunflower with the edible seeds, try planting some that are not edible, I doubt if there is anyway you would keep squirrels from getting the edible seeds, but many of the prettiest sunflowers do not have edible seeds. Good Luck
