Last year I grew some tomatoes in a large clay pot thinking that the clay pot would hold the heat and the plants would do well. I didn't get any tomatoes at all from these plants. I was also wondering about growing a type of tomatoe that grows up a pole almost like a vine. Any ideas? Thanks

Good idea!! I only grow "indeterminate" tomatoes which are vine type, need staking up but once they start producing tomatoes, the only thing that stops them is the frost. Check out Vesey's catalogue on pages 63-64 and make sure the description says "indeterminate". Good luck11 thing that stops them is the frost.
