Posted by Stephanie on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 4:33 pm ADTBee Skeps are considered an ornamental feature in todays garden, and you may find one in the gift shops of your local garden centers, however I don't recommend actually attracting bees to the skep because they can not be opened up like the modern hive to treat the bees for pests and disease. If you are interested in beekeeping there are start-up kits available from Country Fields Beekeeping Supplies Ltd. in Upper Coverdale New Brunswick.
